Location: Blue Sky Organic Farms, Litchfield Park & Waddell, Arizona
Position: Full-Time, Year-Round
About the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive, community-driven person to help grow our Farm Box (CSA) subscriber base and wholesale accounts. This role blends sales, outreach, storytelling, and customer relationships - with a strong emphasis on understanding and representing what sets us apart: the quality of our product, our mission, our transparency, and our deep-rooted presence in the Phoenix-area local food system.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a brand ambassador and storyteller to communicate the farm’s values and products and grow:
The Farm Box (CSA) Program
Actively identify and recruit new Farm subscribers
Recruit & onboard new drop site hosts in strategic or underserved areas
Collaborate with internal staff to track leads, share feedback and refine outreach strategies
Fine-tune subscriber support and retention through communication, education and engagement (e.g., automated email and SMS improvements)
Wholesale Accounts
Prospect, secure and maintain new wholesale clients (e.g., restaurants, small grocers, juice bars, co-ops, distributors)
Facilitate onboarding, answer logistics questions, and support reordering.
Identify opportunities to grow seasonal or year-round sales through better communication, contracts, etc.

Tools & Tech
We use a variety of platforms to operate and market our programs. Adaptability & efficiency are key. You don’t need to be a pro in each, but you should be resourceful and quick to learn:
Sales + Ops: Local Food Marketplace, Square, Squarespace, Google Workspace
Marketing: Mailchimp, Canva, Instagram, Facebook, Nextdoor
Project & Productivity Tools: Email, spreadsheets, basic design workflow
Time Expectations
This role is a mix of on-farm and remote work, with some flexibility:
Early on-farm immersion is essential to understand our product quality, customer experience, team workflows, and timelines
Expect time in the field, at Farm Box pickups and collaborating with the team
Understanding our SOPs, brand voice, quirks, and culture is critical to represent the farm authentically and effectively.
This role requires initiative and efficiency; any work over 40h/week needs advance approval

A sample promotional flyer or social post
A Month 1 task plan: "What would your priorities be after onboarding?"
Ideal Traits:
Passion for organic practices, local food systems & community impact
Experience with CSA models, food distribution, relationship-based sales
Familiarity with restaurant buyers, co-ops, local grocers
Strong communicator who is self-motivated, highly organized and genuine
Bonus: Community engagement, school outreach, food literacy experience

Compensation Package:
We offer hourly base pay plus a competitive performance-based commission structure with real potential if you’re the right kind of person for the role.
You’ll have opportunities to earn through:
Commissions tied to measurable growth in both our Farm Box (CSA) and wholesale programs
Additional commission for creating and managing new high-volume accounts
Monthly, quarterly and annual bonus opportunities for new customer retention, host site performance, and wholesale growth
A weekly produce allowance at our Farm Store
