FAQs - ANIMALS

We’d prefer you not feed the animals food from home, as they’re on a strict diet of organic veggies, and the best alfalfa and bermuda we can find. We also often have animals with special dietary needs.
However, we do offer healthy goat treats for sale in the store, the sales of which help support their care. We also often have fresh loose greens available for you to grab to feed them. -
We sell goat treats in the Farm Store that are safe for any of the animals in the front pens, and we usually have some loose greens in the Farm Store bucket that are safe for everyone. Please ask before offering them anything else, even greens from produce you’ve purchased here. Each animal has specific foods to avoid, so we prefer to err on the side of caution.

It’s chicken math, but we’ve determined it works for all species! It all started with just a small flock of chickens and a few goats less than a decade ago and these days we usually have 125+ goats -Nigerian, Nubian, some mixes and some one-off rescues, 7 pigs, 3 donkeys, 3 horses, a couple hundred chickens (hens, retired hens, roosters), a few dozen ducks, and a goose named Gavin.
You can find out more about all of them here! -
We take care of them. Our animals are always given the best care possible. We have a dedicated staff who can identify and handle a wide range of issues, ensuring proper attention, comfort, and care. We also work closely with local vets and farriers to make sure our animals get the best possible medical support, no matter the cost.
We’re committed to making sure all of our animals live happy, healthy lives, no matter their age or condition.
We love animals and are so fortunate to have many rescues who deserve the best care, including supplements and veterinary visits.
If you're able to, we would be incredibly grateful for any gift to help support the care of our ever-growing family of animals. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference and helps us continue providing the love and care they deserve.
Thank you so much for your kindness!
